Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position on night shift requiring TNCC certification and 2-3 years of ED experience.

Details

  • 19-bed Emergency Department with 6 hall beds and a 6-bed sub-waiting area
  • Patient ratio of 1:5
  • Unit staffed with ED Techs, AEMTs, and Paramedics
  • Uses GE Monitors, Lucas 3, Glidescope, EV 1000, and Level 1 infuser equipment
  • Charting completed in Meditech
  • Performs procedures including moderate sedation, central line placement, chest tube placement, IV insertion, lab draws, POC testing, EKGs, and respiratory treatments
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Weekend and holiday rotation required
  • Does not typically float to other units
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
  • 2-3 years of Emergency Department experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and CPI (within 30 days of start)
  • No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment

Additional Information

  • Facility holds Stroke Certification, Cath Lab designation, and Trauma Level 3 status
  • Emphasis on patient experience including whiteboard usage and keeping patients and families informed
  • Dress code requires dark blue scrubs
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
  • No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
