Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina.

Travel RN – Emergency Room | 16-Week Holiday Coverage

Contract | Travel | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 16-Week Assignment | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
  • Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information on unit boards throughout each visit
  • Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors; collaborate with techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage areas
  • Deliver patient-centered care in alignment with AIDET standards and respectful behavior protocols, ensuring patients are updated throughout their visit
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work in all sections of the Emergency Department as needed; no floating outside of the ED
  • Apply coaching and real-time feedback skills while maintaining a strong teamwork mentality in a fast-paced, multicultural environment

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Room setting
  • ACLS required prior to submission
  • BLS required prior to submission
  • PALS required prior to submission
  • TNCC required prior to submission
  • NIHSS required prior to submission
  • ENPC required prior to submission
  • CPI certification required by date of hire
  • Navy scrubs required as dress code
  • RTO and special scheduling requests will not be accommodated for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience in a Level II trauma center and/or comprehensive stroke center
  • Background in a high-volume Emergency Department exceeding 100,000 annual visits
  • Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
