Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring PA or compact RN licensure and prior ER experience.

Details

  • Work in a 40-bed Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Treat all patient populations including adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
  • Patient ratio of 1:6
  • Uses EPIC EHR system
  • Varied shift schedule (7:00 AM - 11:00 PM) with shift preference discussed during interview
  • Weekend work required on an every-other-weekend basis
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license (PA state license or compact license) required
  • Current certifications: ACLS and PALS required; CEN preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • Trauma and critical care experience preferred
  • Basic nursing skills required
  • Must complete PA-specific background clearances including Child Abuse History Clearance, DHS fingerprinting, FBI/Department of Aging fingerprinting, and PATCH State Police Clearance
  • Drug screen within 90 days accepted; MMR declinations not accepted

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of patient acuities and diagnoses in a high-volume trauma setting
  • Work alongside a collaborative team; strong team player mentality valued
  • Scrub color is flexible with no specified restrictions
  • Weekly orientation held on Mondays
  • Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full-time during the assignment
