Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Free-Standing Emergency Department on night shift, requiring over 2 years of FSED/ED experience and TNCC/CPI certification.

Details

  • Work in an 11-bed Free-Standing Emergency Department
  • Staffed with 3 RNs per shift on both day and night shifts
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Equipment includes trauma supplies, point-of-care lab, and precipitous delivery equipment
  • Meditech EMR used
  • Night shift schedule, 7PM-7AM
  • Floating required to other FSED/ED units
  • Every other weekend required

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS, CPI
  • Minimum 2 years of FSED/ED experience required
  • Proficiency with tough sticks, large bore IVs, blood cultures, triage, and patient monitoring required
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight preferred
  • No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Perform emergency response procedures and point-of-care lab testing
  • Follow emergency protocols for code blue, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis
  • Royal blue scrub attire required
  • Flexible team players with strong interpersonal skills preferred
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
