Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Freestanding Emergency Department position requiring TNCC and night shift availability.

Details

  • Work in a 6-room, 4 vertical-bed freestanding emergency department operating 24/7
  • Unit staffed with 3 RNs including charge plus 1 paramedic on day shift, and 3 RNs including charge on night shift
  • Typical patient ratio of 3 to 4 patients per nurse
  • Equipment used includes vital sign machines, BiPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, ortho glass, and AED
  • Uses Meditech EMR
  • Shift runs 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM over a 13-week assignment
  • Weekend shifts required
  • Floating required within the FSED
  • Typical procedures include IV blood draws, EKGs, foley catheter insertion, ortho splinting, and wound care

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the Emergency Department specialty
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
  • One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Deliver direct patient care within a fast-paced freestanding emergency department setting
  • Blue scrubs required
  • Team-oriented personality is ideal for this unit
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
