Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a mid-shift travel assignment requiring TNCC/ATCN certification and PALS in addition to standard emergency certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Care unit of a hospital setting
• MIDS shift schedule from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call is voluntary
• Floating required as helping hands during low census periods
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS from AHA required
• TNCC or ATCN certification required
• CPI/De-Escalation certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

Additional Information

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to age of patient population served in the ER
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, establish care priorities, and develop individualized care plans
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Dress code requires pewter or charcoal grey scrubs
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate; local candidates may be considered only when explicitly designated
• Previous CHRISTUS employees must have a 6-month separation period before starting a new travel assignment
