Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring TNCC, NIHSS, and at least 2 years of emergency department experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department
• 13-week assignment with 7P-7A night shift schedule
• Every other weekend required
• On-call requirements apply
• Floating required as needed per hospital floating policy
• Documentation performed in Meditech
• Procedures on the unit include conscious sedation, intubation assistance, behavioral health watch, sepsis protocols, stroke (tPA administration), and chest pain/heart alert response

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required (temporary license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• CEN certification preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills valued

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a fast-paced emergency department setting
• Participate in critical procedures including conscious sedation, intubation support, and stroke/cardiac interventions
• Navy scrubs required for RNs with specific guidelines on undershirts and jackets
• Professional grooming standards apply, including nail, hair, tattoo, and piercing policies
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
