Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC/ATCN and PALS certification along with New Mexico or compact RN licensure.

Details

Emergency Care (ECC) department setting within a hospital
13-week assignment
Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Every other weekend required
Voluntary on-call requirement
Floating required to assist as helping hands during low census
Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

Current New Mexico RN license or compact state license required
BLS certification from AHA required
ACLS certification from AHA required
PALS certification from AHA required
TNCC or ATCN certification required
CPI/De-Escalation certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

Additional Information

Coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, and evaluates outcomes
Performs various point-of-care testing procedures
Participates in patient and family education and discharge planning
Pewter/charcoal grey scrubs required
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must be separated for 6 months before starting a travel assignment
