Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a high-volume Level II trauma center with a busy overnight shift schedule.

Details

  • Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center Emergency Department with over 100,000 annual visits
  • 101-bed unit with typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
  • Support staff includes techs in cardiac monitoring and internal processing, triage, and unit clerks on days and nights
  • Uses Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care
  • Charting completed in Cerner
  • Overnight shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
  • Every other weekend scheduling required, with department needs taking priority over block scheduling
  • No floating outside the ED, but must be flexible to work all sections within the department

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NC or Compact)
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS prior to start date
  • ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
  • Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) preferred
  • Strong teamwork orientation with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
  • No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
