Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Active Wyoming RN license or valid multistate RN license
• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC certifications through the American Heart Association
• Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity emergency care environment
• Ability to provide documentation of required nursing licensure and certifications

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Emergency Department patients using the nursing process
• Assess patient conditions, establish priorities, and implement timely emergency nursing interventions
• Apply sound clinical judgment and scientific reasoning when planning and delivering patient care
• Maintain patient safety and deliver care in accordance with applicable nursing standards, hospital policies, and emergency department protocols
• Delegate patient care activities appropriately based on team members’ education and experience
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and ongoing professional development
