As a Travel RN in the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. Our facility serves as the region's referral center for the only Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, with a busy emergency department that sees over 100,000 visits annually.

Unit Specifics:

  • Number of Beds: 101
  • Patient Ratios: 4:1 typically; up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
  • Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
  • Documentation System: Cerner

Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend; must meet departmental needs. No floating outside of the ED, but must be open to floating within the ED.

Patient Experience Requirements: AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patients informed throughout their visit.

Certifications Required:

  • ACLS before start date
  • BLS before start date
  • PALS before start date
  • TNCC before start date
  • CPI before start date
  • NIHSS before start date
  • ENPC within 90 days of hire

Hiring Profile: We are looking for candidates with at least 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in an Emergency Room setting, preferably in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center.
