Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift contract position requiring TNCC and ACLS/BLS/PALS or ENPC certifications.

Details

  • Work in a 23-bed Emergency Department with a staff of 40 including CNCs, RNs, Paramedics, and PCTs
  • Night shift schedule of 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Patient ratio of 4:1
  • Perform procedures including cardioversion, TNK administration, and moderate sedation
  • Uses Welch Allyn and GE equipment
  • Charting completed in Meditech EMR
  • Required to work 4 weekend shifts per schedule
  • No call requirements

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • TNCC certification required
  • ENPC or PALS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
  • 2 years of ED experience preferred
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

  • Deliver emergency nursing care across a wide range of acuities and procedures
  • Unit is a Certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center
  • Unit recognized with 2023 Mission: Lifeline Systems of Care Award and Unit ICARE Award
  • Team includes a well-balanced mix of tenure from new graduates to 30+ year veterans
  • Dedicated CNCs support staff including self-scheduling opportunities
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
  • No local candidates will be considered
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
