Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Emergency Department unit with 26 beds in a 294-bed hospital
  • Patient population includes all ages: geriatric, adult, and pediatric
  • Common diagnoses include respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and hypertension
  • Patient ratios of 1:4-5, flexible depending on acuity
  • Uses GE monitors and standard ED equipment
  • Meditech EHR experience preferred
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • No call requirements
  • Float to like assignments as needed

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NC or compact) required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required
  • Team player with an engaged, positive attitude

  • Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of acute conditions
  • Duke Lifepoint hospital that is Joint Commission accredited
  • Offers services including cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, and surgical services
  • Located in Wilson, NC, about 45 miles east of Raleigh and within an hour of major universities including Duke, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University
  • Scrub color is flexible
  • Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
  • Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
