Job Requirements

  • Active RN license
  • At least 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred
  • Level II or Level III trauma experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • TNCC, ENPC, or PALS required
  • CEN, TCRN, and CPI preferred
  • Strong communication skills, compassion, urgency, and teamwork
  • Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-moving ED environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to emergency room patients with varying levels of acuity
  • Perform patient assessments, documentation, medication administration, and wound care
  • Assist with splinting, IV placement, urine collection, and lab draws
  • Care for patients ranging from ESI 5 through ESI 1
  • Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, triage staff, techs, and support staff
  • Participate in mandatory shift huddles and EMTALA training
  • Support timely care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma patients
  • Maintain a professional presentation and follow unit dress code guidelines
