Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina.

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with a 101-bed unit and patient ratios of typically 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
  • Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation throughout each patient encounter, maintaining boards updated with current patient information
  • Collaborate with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, and unit clerks across all sections of the ED; must be open to floating within all ED sections
  • Deliver patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, and consistent patient communication throughout each visit
  • Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors
  • Demonstrate real-time coaching ability, teamwork mentality, and flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact state eligibility)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
  • ACLS required prior to start date
  • BLS required prior to start date
  • PALS required prior to start date
  • TNCC required prior to start date
  • CPI required prior to start date
  • NIHSS required prior to start date
  • ENPC required within 90 days of hire
  • Navy scrubs required as dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center setting
  • Background in a high-volume Emergency Department exceeding 100,000 annual visits
  • Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
