Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) or Emergency/Trauma RN experience in a Level II trauma center
• Current Kansas RN license
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, and NIH certification required
• Preferred certifications: CEN or TCRN
• Strong knowledge of trauma nursing, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage
• Ability to thrive in a positive, patient-centered emergency department culture

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for patients with a wide range of acuity levels
• Perform ER procedures and support care for trauma, cardiac, neuro, and sepsis cases
• Use clinical judgment to prioritize care, assess patient status, and respond to urgent needs
• Work closely with physicians, ED techs, and support staff to maintain efficient patient flow
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting a culture of safety, respect, and teamwork
• Document patient care accurately using the facility’s electronic medical record (EMR) system
