Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week assignment requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and TNCC certification.

Details

• 19-bed Emergency Department in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1
• Uses Philips monitoring equipment and Meditech EMR
• Unit performs tPA administration, STEMI care, CPR, laceration repair, and orthopedic care
• Rotating weekends required with no on-call obligations
• No floating to other units required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a collaborative ED team including charge RNs, triage RNs, HUCs, and techs
• Royal blue scrub attire required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
