Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina.

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 101
Patient Ratios: 4:1 typically; up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
Unit Staffing: Technicians available for cardiac monitoring and internal processing; unit clerks on days and nights
Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
Documentation System: Cerner

Scheduling Requirements

Schedules are based on department needs, with a requirement to work every other weekend. Candidates must be flexible regarding floating within all sections of the Emergency Department.

Certifications Required

ACLS before starting date
BLS before starting date
PALS before starting date
TNCC before starting date
CPI before starting date
NIHSS before starting date
ENPC within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
At least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Room setting
Experience in a Level II trauma center and/or comprehensive stroke center preferred
Previous experience with high-volume emergency departments (over 100,000 visits annually) is preferred
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide real-time feedback
Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department

Dress Code

Required uniform: Navy scrubs
