Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Position Overview

This contract position requires a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to work in the Emergency Department for a duration of 13 weeks. The selected candidate will work the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Unit Information

• Location: Georgetown, TX
• Number of Beds: 23
• Staffing: 40 staff members including RNs, paramedics, and patient care technicians
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Type of Equipment: Welch Allyn, GE
• EMR: Meditech

Shift Details

• Shift: Night Shift
• Weekends: 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
• Call Requirements: None

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Advanced Life Support (ALS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• 1 year of Emergency Department experience

Preferred Skills

• 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Preference for candidates with ENPC over PALS

Role Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for:

• Performing typical procedures such as cardioversion, TNK, and moderate sedation
• Collaborating effectively with a dedicated group of providers
• Supporting unit-based initiatives and participating in monthly councils
