Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with TNCC, ENPC, ALS, and BLS certifications for a 13-week contract in a busy Level IV Trauma Center.
Details
- Emergency Department setting with 23 beds and a 4:1 patient ratio
- Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 5 RNs, 1 Paramedic, and 1 PCT, with staffing fluctuating based on patient volume
- Night shift mirrors day shift staffing with 1 CNC, 5 RNs, 1 Paramedic, and 1 PCT
- Midshift staffed with approximately 4 RNs, fluctuating based on volume
- Shift schedule runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Welch Allyn and GE equipment
- Documents in Meditech EMR
- Performs procedures including cardioversion, TNK administration, and moderate sedation
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required (PALS may substitute for ENPC)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
- 2+ years of ED experience preferred
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
- One professional reference required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
