Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• PALS certification required (AHA only)
• TNCC certification required
• BSN preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a high-volume ER

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Care for patients with a wide range of emergency needs, including trauma, stroke, STEMI, psychiatric, geriatric, and pediatric cases
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor patient response
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and timely
• Assess patient and family education needs and provide clear, compassionate teaching
• Coordinate care effectively and make appropriate assignments and delegations as needed
• Support a fast-moving Emergency Department environment with professionalism, adaptability, and strong teamwork
