Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week contract requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and TNCC/CPI certification.

Details

• Work in a Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) with 8 beds and 15 staff
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift staffing includes multiple RNs and a charge nurse, with similar coverage on night shift
• Shift schedule runs 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Performs IV insertion, bloodwork, Foley catheterization, breathing treatments, and medication administration
• Rotating weekend requirement of 4 out of every 8 weekends
• No on-call responsibilities
• May float to other Methodist/FSED locations within 25 miles if needed

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and CPI
• Meditech experience preferred
• FSED experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ER environment handling a variety of acute cases
• Team-oriented role requiring accountability, integrity, and compassion for patients
• Navy blue scrub attire required
• Must follow Methodist Healthcare policies and guidelines
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
