Location: El Paso, TX
Shift Time: Start Time: 07:00 PM End Time: 07:00 AM
Shift Type: Night Shift
Duration: 13 Weeks
Specialty: RN – Emergency Department
Minimum Experience: 1 year
EMR: Meditech
Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Shift: Mid-shift; required RN, BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC

Unit Overview

This is a 41-bed Emergency Department supported by a team of approximately 90 staff members. The department provides a fast-paced environment with both core emergency care and a dedicated fast-track area.

Staffing

Day Shift:

  • 1 Charge RN

  • 1 Trauma RN

  • 1 Unit Clerk

  • 9 RNs

  • Mixed Paramedic/Tech/RN coverage on mid shifts

Night Shift:

  • 1 Charge RN

  • 1 Trauma RN

  • 1 Unit Clerk

  • 9 RNs

  • Mixed Paramedic/Tech/RN coverage on mid shifts

Patient Ratios

  • Core ED: 1:4

  • Fast Track: 1:6

Equipment

  • Specialty equipment will be covered during orientation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Candidates must have:

  • ACLS/ALS

  • BCLS/BLS

  • ENPC or PALS

  • TNCC
  • ​NIH Certification
  • CPI certification within 6 weeks of onboarding

  • Active Texas RN license or Compact RN license

  • Minimum 1 year of ED experience

  • A strong team player

  • Able to prioritize and multitask effectively

  • Comfortable working with a multidisciplinary team

  • Patient-focused and safety-oriented

Dress Code

  • Royal blue scrubs

  • Closed-toe shoes required

  • Crocs with holes are not permitted

Weekends / Scheduling

Schedule and weekend requirements are based on the facility's staffing needs and assignment requirements.
