Assignment Overview

This travel RN position in the Emergency Room (ER) is an opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to provide acute care in a Level 1 trauma setting. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with critical care patients and be able to handle a wide variety of cases from minor injuries to severe trauma. This role is suitable for nurses adept at working in a fast-paced environment and proficient in the use of various medical drips and equipment.

  • Shift Details: 4 X 12-hour shifts with varied start times
  • Every other weekend rotation required
  • Holiday requirements are negotiable
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3420.00 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in the ER
  • Stabilize and treat critically ill patients
  • Administer and titrate medications, including vasopressors and cardiac drips
  • Collaborate with trauma team and physicians
  • Interpret and act on patient rhythms
  • Participate in patient assessment and triage

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL license or initiation of application process
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
  • Experience with trauma and critical care patients

Preferred:

  • SANE RN experience
  • Experience in a teaching hospital
