Job Summary: You will deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. You will supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

Job Requirements:

• Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
  • Acute care facility experience: Preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per policy: Required
  • AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required
  • AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS: Required

Essential Functions:

• Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Analyze the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues.
• Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes.
• Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
• Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes.
• Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation.
• Collaborate with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
• Provide learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members.
• Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
• Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
