Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department position requiring an active MA RN license and at least 1.5 years of ED experience.

Details

  • Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department setting
  • Evening shift, 3x12 hours from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM
  • Shift start time may occasionally flex up to 4 hours earlier or later based on urgent staffing needs
  • Union facility requiring availability to work all 7 days with no special scheduling accommodations
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license in hand required
  • Minimum 1.5 years (18 months) of ED experience required; 2+ years preferred
  • Level I Trauma Center experience required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
  • Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
  • Skilled in respiratory care and management of ventilated patients
  • Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
  • Triage skills required
  • Experience in Psych/Behavioral Health ED settings

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care within a Level I Trauma Center
  • Must pass a pass/fail telemetry exam and a pass/fail medication exam during orientation, each with only one attempt allowed; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
  • Study materials will be provided during compliance and pre-orientation process
  • Pre-start and orientation modules required, along with annual module completion
  • Accepts local candidates within a 200-mile radius at the same bill rate
  • Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
  • Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with none allowed in the first week of assignment
  • Priority given to candidates offering minimal RTO and 26-week contract lengths
  • One major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) must be included in RTO
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
