Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin.

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)
Location: UW Health University Hospital, Madison, WI
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Shift: Mid Shift (3:00 PM – 3:30 AM) or Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3x12 Hours
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of high-acuity Emergency Department experience.
- Must have 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years.
- Previous travel experience required, with at least one completed travel assignment of 6 months. Extensions are highly preferred.
- Epic experience required; experience within the past 12 months preferred.
- Experience in a 40+ bed Emergency Department preferred.
- Trauma Level II experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred.
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
- Teaching hospital experience preferred.
- Must hold a valid Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license.
- Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
- Must pass a telemetry test before being cleared to start.
- Candidates must meet all mandatory requirements before submission.
Schedule & Additional Details:
- Mid shift: 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM.
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
- Three 12-hour shifts per week; 8-hour shifts may be required as needed.
- Weekend and holiday rotation required.
- Floating required to the Emergency Department at UW Health East Madison Hospital.
- Patient ratio: 1:4.
- Department includes 67 rooms and approximately 200 visits per day.
- Orientation: 20 hours.
- One pre-approved time-off request allowed.
- Flu vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions are accepted.
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required.
