Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN with a MA license and 3 years of full-service ED experience for a brand-new, freestanding emergency department.

Details

  • Work in a brand-new, state-of-the-art, freestanding Emergency Department
  • Combined adult/pediatric general ED with occasional pediatric ED cases
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)
  • Every other weekend/holiday requirement
  • Minimal floating to the Marlborough campus
  • Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required
  • Minimum of 3 full years of experience in a full-service emergency department required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
  • CEN and TNCC certifications highly preferred
  • Prior Epic charting experience required
  • Experience managing pediatric and adult ED patients including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
  • Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of central/arterial lines
  • Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, and chest tube care preferred
  • Experience administering emergency medications, vasopressors, and procedural sedation
  • Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
  • Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license are not eligible

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
  • Facility is STEMI and Stroke certified
  • Participate in triage, EKG interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias
  • Required to pass two pass/fail exams at orientation (medication exam and telemetry exam), each with only one attempt allowed; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
  • Study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed interviews (FDIs)
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Must reside within 200 miles of the facility
  • Traveler’s mileage from permanent address to facility must be disclosed during the application process
