Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Handle common patient diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
• Participate in floating assignments as required and demonstrate charge capability when needed.
• Adhere to the facility's expectations of providing care to all assigned patients, including those requiring Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) services.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting, with some pediatric experience preferred.
• Active RN license in NY and all other held RN licenses verified through NURSYS.
• Current certifications in AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Experience with EPIC EMR systems is required.
• Ability to work the shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with flexibility as block scheduling is not guaranteed.
