Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active Illinois RN license and EPIC charting experience.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital environment
  • Day shift schedule from 7:00AM-7:30PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holiday coverage required
  • 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period, with call shifts being 13 hours and requiring onsite arrival within one hour
  • 2-week nights rotation required for all travelers
  • No block scheduling available
  • Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience required
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred
  • TNCC certification highly preferred

Additional Information

  • Serve as primary caregiver for a designated group of ED patients, completing assessments and developing individualized care plans
  • Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
  • Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to deliver safe, effective emergency care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
  • Work in a high-risk Emergency Department setting
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
