Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a high acuity 20-bed unit requiring 2+ years of ms/tele experience and an active NH or Compact RN license.

Details

  • High acuity Med Surg floor/Respiratory Care Unit setting
  • 20-bed unit with patient ratios of 1-5, sometimes 6
  • Common patient diagnoses include PNA, COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, osteomyelitis, diabetic foot infections, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, bowel obstruction, end of life, and wounds
  • 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, 3 shifts per week
  • No on-call requirements
  • May be requested to float to Concord Hospital-Laconia or Concord Hospital-Franklin locations

Requirements

  • Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
  • Current BLS required
  • NIHSS certification required prior to start
  • ACLS certification required
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
  • Dysrhythmia exam required during onboarding with a preferred score of 80%

  • Provide care to a high acuity Med Surg/Respiratory patient population
  • Holiday coverage required
  • Weekly orientation schedule
  • Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
  • Prior permanent staff may return as a traveler after a 12-month break in service
