Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active MA RN license and Epic charting experience.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • Active RN license (MA license required, NH or Compact accepted at NH-based facilities)
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only)
  • 0-1 year of clinical nursing experience required
  • Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients
  • Primary source verification of professional license/certification required within 30 days of start date, updated upon expiration
  • Both NURSYS and BON verification required for nursing licenses
  • No MA conditional or pending licenses accepted
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

  • Interpret the plan of medical care and exercise clinical decision-making regarding nursing care
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects
  • Record patient medical information, vital signs, and changes in condition
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient response and condition
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
  • Local candidates accepted with permanent residence within 60 miles of Boston, MA, at a reduced rate
  • For NH-based facilities, a respirator FIT test using a specific form is strongly preferred prior to start, or must be completed within 14 days of starting
  • For NH-based facilities, two separate NH state background checks are required (Criminal Background Check and BEAS record check)
