Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with required TNCC, PALS, and ACLS certifications for a 13-week assignment on an evening shift.

Details

• 28-bed Emergency Department staffed with charge RN, 10 staff RNs, 2-3 techs, and a unit secretary per shift
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Meditech EMR
• Shift runs from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute ER experience required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, EKGs, and other common ED procedures
• Trauma experience preferred
• Active and personable candidates are a strong fit for this fast-paced unit
• Royal blue scrub attire required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
