Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring active DC RN licensure and specialized emergency certifications including NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, and ACLS.
Details
- Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department treating all patient types and acuity levels
- Patient population ranges from urgent care and psychiatric to pediatric and critical care/trauma cases
- Manage critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes
- Schedule consists of 3x12-hour day shifts per week
- 9-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current certifications required: NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA only)
- Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- At least 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the ED specialty required
- Travel experience preferred
Additional Information
- Coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing needs to ensure the highest level of safety and quality while promoting a positive patient experience
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility for consideration
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying most recent experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
