• Schedule: Every other weekend; schedule is based on department needs
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and current nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Room or Emergency Department setting
• Experience in a level II trauma center or high-volume emergency department preferred
• Strong teamwork mindset with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
• Required certifications before submission: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and ENPC
• CPI required before date of hire
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to emergency patients
• Assess, monitor, and treat patients across all areas of the ED as needed
• Respond to a wide variety of emergency presentations with strong clinical judgment
• Support patient experience through respectful communication, AIDET, and ongoing patient updates
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, clerks, and the care team to ensure smooth patient flow
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold department policies and standards
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment that values flexibility and professionalism
