Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department position requiring compact or PA RN licensure and prior ER experience.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department with 40 beds
• Treats all patient populations
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Varied shift schedule with 7A-7P shift times
• Weekend work required every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Uses Epic EHR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or PA) required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; CEN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Trauma and critical care experience preferred
• PA state clearances required including Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services Fingerprinting, FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH PA State Police Clearance
• No declinations for MMR or TB accepted
• Drug screening within 90 days required
• Social security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across all patient populations in a Level 1 Trauma facility
• Team-player mindset expected on a collaborative unit
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Any scrub color accepted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles considered at local rate only
• Candidates who worked perm staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
