Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position will primarily focus on managing Medsurg/Post-Critical Care Unit admit holds in the Emergency Department (ED). The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while effectively managing a variety of care situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, including managing Medsurg and PCU admit holds.
• Administer medications and IV fluids per protocol, including cardiac drips.
• Orient new staff for the psychiatric annex and assist in training if required.
• Possibility to float to Medsurg units based on staffing needs.

Shift Details

7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays with every other weekend from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. A 36-hour guarantee is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the Emergency Department. Strong candidates with closer to 2 years are encouraged to apply, provided they are self-starters with diverse care experience.
• Current Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or a Compact RN license.
• Up-to-date certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR); Cerner experience is preferred but not required.
• Must have a driver's license with an address that matches provided demographics.

Additional Information

Floating to stepdown, Medsurg, and potentially the Behavioral Health Annex will be required; training will be provided for the latter.
