### Join Our Dynamic Emergency Department Team! **Job Description:** - **Location:** Salem, VA - **Unit Type:** Emergency Department - **Number of Beds:** 27 - **Staffing Levels:** 50 RNs, 25 Medics **General Information:** - **Day Shift:** - 1 Charge Nurse - 5 RNs - 2-3 Medics - Additional 4-5 RNs at 11 AM - Additional 1-2 RNs at 3 PM - **Night Shift:** - 1 Charge Nurse - 5 RNs - 2-3 Medics - **Patient Ratios:** 4-6:1 - **EMR System:** Meditech **Required Qualifications:** - **Must Have:** - Completed 2-3 travel assignments - 2-3 years of ER experience - **Preferred Skills:** - Experience in high acuity ERs - Fast-paced environments with high volume - Familiarity with patient ratios of 5:1 **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) - Sepsis interventions - Stroke protocol with tPA administration - Central line placement - Care of psychiatric patients - Transfers to other facilities (EMTALA) **Ideal Candidate Traits:** - Relaxed and easygoing - Friendly and team-oriented - Respectful and professional **Required Certifications:** - BLS - ACLS - PALS - **Preferred:** TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIH **Floating Areas:** None **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color: Navy blue or white **Weekend and On Call Requirements:** - No on call - 4 weekend shifts (either Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) within a 4-week scheduling period --- **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
