Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a general Emergency Department position requiring active IL licensure, 2+ years of ED experience, and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Work in a general Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
- Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Schedule includes Friday, Saturday, and one additional weekday as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
- Any EMR/charting system experience accepted
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license required and in hand at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
- NRP certification preferred
- AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted; RQI cards not accepted
- Experience with a broad range of ED skills including trauma care, cardiac monitoring, respiratory management, IV therapy, and psychiatric emergencies
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric cases
- Perform skills such as EKG interpretation, splinting, triage, and management of dysrhythmias
- Utilize isolation precautions and PPE per professional standards
- Previous permanent or PRN employees of the facility must be separated for at least 12 months before returning as a travel candidate
- Ideally no more than 5 non-holiday RTO days requested
- Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Travel pairs are not accepted
