Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring ED and critical care nursing experience.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Center, which offers a full spectrum of emergency care and a separate Chest Pain Center
  • Night shift schedule, 7a-7p
  • 13-week assignment
  • May be required to work in charge nurse and preceptor roles as needed

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Maine or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Minimum of 3 years overall nursing experience required
  • At least 2 years of experience in the ED setting required
  • At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience required
  • No history of license or background actions permitted
  • Previous employment at this facility is not permitted

Additional Information

  • Serve as an essential member of the patient care team, delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process
  • Assess patients on admission and throughout their stay
  • Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood products as needed
  • Provide patient education and document nursing care, teaching, observations, and patient responses
