Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active NH or compact RN license and ACLS certification.

Details

  • Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
  • Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
  • 13-week assignment
  • Defined workweek runs Sunday 12:01am through the following Saturday 11:59pm
  • Local candidates accepted at a reduced local rate

Requirements

  • Active NH RN license (or compact) required, or must be eligible to obtain one
  • Minimum 3 years of experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • CPI certification required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
  • Clinical experience preferred
  • Specialty certification preferred
  • COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

  • Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all assigned ED areas
  • Assess patients on admission including medical history, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests
  • Participate in planning and implementing written care plans under physician direction
  • Perform standard patient assessments using basic equipment
  • Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Interact positively with team members and patients while respecting cultural, lifestyle, religious, and age-related differences
  • Accept constructive criticism and manage emotional responses professionally
  • Membership in a professional nursing organization is valued
