Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina.

Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Room | 16-Week Holiday Coverage

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 16 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every other weekend required | No block scheduling; scheduling must meet the needs of the department

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
  • Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation throughout the shift
  • Float to all sections within the ED as needed; no floating outside of the Emergency Department
  • Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors
  • Uphold patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards and patients updated throughout their visit
  • Demonstrate ability to work in all areas of the ED, including cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
  • ACLS required prior to submission
  • BLS required prior to submission
  • PALS required prior to submission
  • TNCC required prior to submission
  • NIHSS required prior to submission
  • ENPC required prior to submission
  • CPI required by date of hire
  • Navy scrubs required as dress code
  • RTO and special scheduling requests will not be accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center
  • Background in a high-volume Emergency Department (100,000+ annual visits)
  • Previous experience with HCA facilities
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and provide real-time feedback in a team environment
