Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC certification and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

  • 27-bed Emergency Department with roughly 50 RNs and 25 medics on staff
  • Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 medics, increasing by additional RNs at 11am and 3pm
  • Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics
  • Patient ratios of 4-6:1
  • Uses Meditech EMR
  • 13-week assignment, night shift 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
  • No floating required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Weekend requirement of four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) within a four-week scheduling period

Requirements

  • Active RN license (VA or Compact)
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
  • Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification
  • Minimum 2-3 years of ER experience required
  • Must have completed 2-3 prior travel assignments
  • Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced, high-volume ERs preferred
  • Experience with 5:1 patient ratios preferred
  • No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSNs accepted)
  • One professional reference required
