Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN requiring 2 years of ED experience and a KY or compact RN license for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED/ER) setting within a hospital
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week totaling 36 hours
• Every other weekend required per unit need
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of acute care ED RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Additional Information

• Provide safe, effective, patient and family-centered care in a fast-paced ED environment
• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate clinical interventions
• Coordinate patient and family education throughout treatment and at discharge
• Mentor and precept staff while delegating tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Participate in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives under a Practice Governance model
