Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070–$2,180

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Maine
• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
• At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong patient assessment, triage, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
• Ability to work night shifts and remain effective in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency care environment
• Willingness and ability to serve in charge nurse and preceptor roles when needed
• Successful completion of required credentialing and compliance screening

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and monitor emergency department patients from admission through disposition
• Deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process
• Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood products according to orders and established protocols
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate timely emergency nursing interventions
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, medications, and follow-up care
• Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, education, observations, and patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient emergency care
• Precept colleagues and assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned
