Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Cerner experience required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS or ENPC certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Strong patient and family communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency care environment
- Critical thinking, stamina, adaptability, and teamwork
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy Emergency Department
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients across a wide range of acuity levels
- Deliver care for emergency, trauma, stroke, STEMI, and other urgent presentations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to support safe and efficient patient flow
- Utilize Cerner accurately for charting, documentation, and workflow support
- Respond to changing census and assist with care needs as required
- Maintain professionalism, compassion, and clear communication with patients and families
- Support a culture of teamwork in a demanding but rewarding clinical setting
