Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Scheduling: Schedule must support department needs; block scheduling is not available
• Emergency Department: 101 beds with typical patient ratios of 4:1 and up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds

• Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, including a minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department or emergency room nursing experience
• Recent experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume Emergency Department preferred
• Ability to work effectively in all areas of the Emergency Department
• Strong teamwork, communication, coaching, and real-time feedback skills
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before the start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Commitment to respectful, patient-centered communication and service excellence
• Willingness to float between all sections within the Emergency Department

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to Emergency Department patients across a broad range of acuity levels
• Perform patient assessments, prioritize care, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes
• Care for medical, trauma, stroke, behavioral health, and other emergency patients in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, clerks, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Monitor patients using GE monitoring equipment and safely administer therapies using Baxter pumps
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Cerner
• Keep patients informed throughout their visit and support clear communication with families and caregivers
• Maintain updated patient information boards and follow department policies and safety standards
• Demonstrate flexibility by working in all designated sections of the Emergency Department
• Contribute to a positive team culture focused on professionalism, accountability, and excellent patient experiences
