Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a KY or compact RN license and ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department with 64 patient care areas seeing 250+ patients daily
• RN to patient ratio of 4:1 with ED Techs on staff
• 3x12 day shift schedule, 7a-7p
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with care team members

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans per the nursing process
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
