Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience in a similarly sized hospital or emergency department
• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Florida
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience caring for high-acuity and complex emergency patients
• Epic electronic medical record experience preferred
• Ability to float to other departments or nearby affiliated facilities as needed
• Degree accreditation documentation or verification of at least five years of nursing experience

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients presenting with emergent and complex medical conditions
• Perform rapid assessments, prioritize care, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient response
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support timely evaluation and treatment
• Maintain accurate, timely patient-care documentation in Epic
• Support trauma and emergency protocols in a high-acuity Level II setting
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while functioning as an integral member of the Emergency Department team
• Float when needed and adapt effectively to changing patient-care assignments
