Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a VA or compact license and 2+ years of ER experience.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting with a 24-hour Emergency Department
  • Patient population spans the full age spectrum from pediatric to geriatric
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 36 hours per week guaranteed
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Rare floating, limited to units appropriate to skill set or to assist as additional support
  • Uses Meditech EHR

Requirements

  • Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
  • 2+ years of ER experience required
  • Proficient in phlebotomy, IV insertion, EKG, splinting, wound care, and patient transport
  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient with ability to perform all ER tasks independently

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care for standard ER cases across all age groups
  • Focus on patient-centered care while meeting operational metrics
  • Team-oriented personality fit preferred
  • Permanent address must be outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
  • Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
